A Walk in the Woods: A Half-century of Bird Discoveries at the Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest
October 21 at 7:30 pm–9:00 pm
For over 50 years, the Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest in the White Mountains of New Hampshire has been used extensively for studies of bird populations. Over those years, the forest ecosystem has experienced significant changes in food supplies for birds. Join Dr. Sara Kaiser, director of the Cornell student research and training program in avian biology at Hubbard Brook, to learn about the many discoveries of how food supply affects forest birds at Hubbard Brook and the value of long-term studies for understanding the impact of slow changes in the forest ecosystem on bird populations.
Speaker: Sara Kaiser is a research ecologist at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology.
