Virtual Family Program: Birds Make Art Come Alive
May 1 at 2:00 pm–3:00 pm
Why do people love to make art about birds? Because birds are amazing! Get to know our feathered friends in this program jointly presented by Cornell’s Johnson Museum of Art and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology.
Theater and teaching artist Holly Adams and ornithology educator Leo Sack will tell stories about birds both in the wild and featured in the Museum’s collection of artwork. Get up and move like a bird and practice your best bird song imitations. We’ll also spend time drawing and capturing birds’ unique personalities on paper.
This free, live virtual program will be fun for kids Pre-K to Grade 2. Come ready play along in this interactive Zoom! For your privacy, this program will not be recorded.
