Brian Petersen

Lead Developer

I am a technical lead in Macaulay Library. I help with our machine learning models, including Photo and Sound ID, as well as creating ways to integrate them into applications and research around the Cornell Lab.

My interest in birds started when I was young. My Dad would spend time with me in the forests of New Hampshire finding birds, animals, and getting me interested in all of the creatures around us. When not looking at birds, I like to create bad artwork and garden!
