Communications • Video Production • Video Editing • Social Media • Broadcast Production

I am a producer and editor in the Lab’s Conservation Media Group. I write, direct, and edit moving picture content for the Lab and with external partners. Our video assets are used for conservation efforts around the globe.

I spent my childhood in Berlin, Germany, and after obtaining a degree in journalism from the University of Montana, began my career in Washington, D.C., as a video/film producer and editor. I spent the next 20 years working on science and nature content mainly for National Geographic, Discovery Communications, and PBS. I have contributed to National Geographic Explorer and the PBS series Frontline, Nature, and Nova. In my time in Washington, I rose to the position of Senior Producer/Co-Executive Producer and Senior Editor. I have been nominated for two national Emmy Awards and have won several CINE Awards as well as the Humane Society’s Genesis Award for Best Cable Documentary.

Education

B.A, Journalism, University of Montana

Interests

Currently I’m most interested in creating short-form, snack-sized content for the Web to inspire the nature lover in all of us. When I’m not working on videos, I love to spend time outside with my family of five soaking in the beauty of New York’s Finger Lakes.
