Diego Licón

Strategic Partnerships Manager

My role is focused on developing, implementing, monitoring, evaluating and advancing strategic plans and activities that support the Center for Avian Population Studies and contribute to the mission, overall goals and objectives of the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. I work collaboratively with research scientists, conservation practitioners, and decision-makers, across the public and private sectors. My work includes creating shared value and outlining the unique and differentiated contributions of our partnerships.

Education

MPA, Cornell University
B.A., International Relations, San Francisco State University

Inspiration

My biggest inspiration, in all that I have done and continue to do, is to make the world a better place. I have traveled extensively between Mexico and the United States ever since I was a child and this has contributed greatly to my desire to protect the environment, improve livelihoods, and leverage the power of business to address social needs and challenges.
