Heather Wolf

Application Programmer

I do web development, working on various Lab websites including eBird, Birds of the World, and BirdCast. I feel very fortunate to be able to work on projects that share important, informative, and inspiring resources about my favorite subject—birds!

I have been developing software for over a decade, working on projects as varied as a U.S. Navy portal and my very own iOS apps. But it wasn’t until I started working at the Cornell Lab that I was able to combine my love of birds with my technical skills. I started birding on Florida’s Gulf Coast and have been an avid eBirder ever since. I’m the author of Birding at the Bridge: In Search of Every Bird on the Brooklyn Waterfront, my photographic journey to document every bird in my Brooklyn, New York, patch. In my spare time, I enjoy sharing birding through my walks and classes.
