I’m interested in the behavior, movement and life history of individual animals, and how this scales up to influence population dynamics. My current research at the Cornell Lab focuses on the population status of two bustard species, the African Houbara and the Asian Houbara. By combining GPS tracking, breeding monitoring, population surveys, and information on captive-bred-released birds, I’m developing models to understand the declines of these two species.
