Volunteer Opportunities<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\n- Leading youth education programs including our spring\u00a0Kids Discover the Trail<\/a> program<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Leading indoor guided tours of the Visitor Center<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Facilitating drop-in activities<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Leading outdoor programs including nature outings<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Assisting with community outreach efforts<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Helping with special events, like Migration Celebration<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
Our Expectations<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\n- Must be 18 years of age or older<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Must be comfortable engaging with the public<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Complete our volunteer application<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Volunteers that work with youth may require a background check, plus short online trainings required by Cornell University Risk Management<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Complete the training series for a specific volunteer appointment\n
\n- We hold several training series each year. Our April training is for Kids Discover the Trail volunteers. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Commit to at least four hours per month (specific time commitments vary by appointment). Kids Discover the Trail volunteers commit to leading five field trips in a 5-week period each May. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
- We do not have remote volunteer positions available<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
