At the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, we believe that our collective work is strengthened by the diverse perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds of our community and contributors from around the world. Our impact is greater when we hear all voices and integrate diverse ideas into our mission to create a better world for both people and the planet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In all our endeavors we seek to remove barriers to participation for historically excluded communities and to promote a safe, welcoming space for all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Land Acknowledgment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Cornell University is located on the traditional homelands of the Gayogo\u0331h\u00f3:n\u01eb\u2019 (the Cayuga Nation). The Gayogo\u0331h\u00f3:n\u01eb\u2019 are members of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, an alliance of six sovereign Nations with a historic and contemporary presence on this land. The Confederacy precedes the establishment of Cornell University, New York State, and the United States of America. We acknowledge the painful history of Gayogo\u0331h\u00f3:n\u01eb\u2019 dispossession, and honor the ongoing connection of Gayogo\u0331h\u00f3:n\u01eb\u2019 people, past and present, to these lands and waters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
