I am an applied quantitative ecologist working to understand how animals are impacted by our changing world\u2014and what we can do about it. My research focuses on the development and application of quantitative techniques that deepen our understanding of bird abundance and trends while digging into the environmental factors and potential threats that influence bird populations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I approach these topics with a variety of tools from participatory science, ecological modeling, machine learning, and population ecology. My research group works collaboratively with practitioners and decision-makers to galvanize science into action and support conservation solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
