My research to date has primarily focused on understanding the genetic basis of adaptive traits in sparrows that inhabit tidal salt marshes\u2014a rapidly declining ecosystem threatened by sea level rise and coastal development. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;m also interested in the ecological and evolutionary processes that enable locally adapted populations to persist despite gene flow.
