My role includes designing local educational programs, managing our group of passionate volunteers, and leading the staff at the front desk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to joining the Lab, I was an informal science educator at the Sciencenter, a children\u2019s science museum in Ithaca. During this time, I furthered my excitement for working with science learners in informal spaces, including helping to guide researchers and volunteers to best communicate and share their experiences with families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In past careers, I have worked as an ecologist on projects including invasive plants, heavy metals in stream insects and spiders, and plant-pollinator phenology.
