Lauren Richelieu is an illustrator from Maine, where her artistic journey began at a young age, always inspired by the flora and fauna found in her backyard. She earned her BFA in Illustration at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and later enhanced her expertise by earning a Science Illustration Graduate Certificate through California State University, Monterey Bay, in 2024.

Growing up surrounded by the natural beauty of her home state, Lauren spent countless hours outdoors, cultivating a lifelong fascination with the environment and its diverse wildlife. A deep-rooted love of nature informs her artistic practice, reflected in a diverse portfolio that prominently features birds and other wildlife subjects. She takes great care to represent each subject with accuracy, investing time in meticulous observation and research. This attention to detail is a hallmark of her artistic style, allowing her to create realistic and distinctive depictions that resonate with viewers.
