It’s never too early to help our youngest learners develop a lifelong passion for nature and science. Birds and participatory science are the perfect place to start! Aligned to K-2 Next Generation Science Standards and Common Core State Standards, eBird Explorers: Building Literacy Through Nature inspires observation and curiosity about the natural world. This dynamic curriculum features two children’s books that encourage students to observe and describe differences in birds and habitats. Through these lessons, students discover what makes a bird a bird, explore similarities and differences, learn to identify common local birds, and contribute to the eBird database!

The full kit is available for purchase through the kitting company NASCO.
