Lifelong learning is embedded in our institutional DNA. Cornell University was founded on a commitment to “any person, any study.” The Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s founder, Arthur Allen, extended this commitment by welcoming the local community for seminars and bird walks. Since then we’ve only accelerated our passion for helping people of all walks of life learn about birds and nature, and to implement conservation action.

We support learning throughout life. From our classroom resources and educator trainings, to our state-of-the-art visitor center and online learning platforms, the Center for Engagement in Science and Nature continues the tradition of sharing the wonder, joy, and importance of birds far beyond our walls.
