Migration Celebration 2020

Join Us Online September 14–26

Migration Celebration is taking place virtually right now with special live online events, including articles and activities. Cornell Lab migration specialists will give online talks and there are a variety of family-friendly activities so the whole family can get involved. Find out more and join us!

Visitor Center Closed

Due to the spread of the COVID-19 virus and following recommendations from Cornell University, we have closed the Cornell Lab of Ornithology Visitor Center and canceled programs and events indefinitely. We understand these closures can be disruptive and inconvenient, but we are dedicated to preserving the health of our community. The outdoor trails remain open to the public, and the Cornell Lab will continue to offer access to Merlin, eBird, Bird Academy, All About Birds, as well as this compilation of resources, ideas, and activities that you may find helpful.

Read a short message from our director about COVID-19.

Plan Your Visit Watch birds. Take a stroll. Listen to the woods.

Enjoy our art and science exhibits; watch birds rain or shine; and explore 4 miles of trails through our 230-acre sanctuary.
