We received over 400 diverse and inspiring proposals for our 2026 mini-grants for Latin American and Caribbean organizations. These proposals, each unique in their own way, outlined a wide range of plans, from protecting local birds and the environment to creating and improving local habitats, promoting the arts and local culture, engaging new participants, and integrating participatory science into educational activities. Above all, they support the well-being of their communities and keep them in harmony with nature and their local birds.
It was challenging for the review committee to evaluate and choose between many excellent proposals. We thank all applicants for their commitment to promoting the love of birds, the protection of nature, and the participatory science projects in their communities. We proudly announce the 2026 winning organizations and groups whose work will undoubtedly inspire others and bring hope for a better future.
