I had a point and shoot and wanted some better quality pictures. I bought my first SLR which was the Canon Rebel 300D just over 2 years ago. Not long after I started, someone posted a few pictures of a Great Gray Owl and said they took them close to where I live. I went looking for them and found them immediately. I was so in awe of them, I almost forgot to take pictures!
That was it, I was hooked on shooting birds. Since then, I have upgraded my camera twice and am now using a Canon 1DMKIIN. I have learned so much about the birds that I shoot in these past couple of years! I study the Birds habits, how they hunt, where they live, where they roost, etc… I now try to get out shooting and admiring the Birds as often as possible. I love challenges, so I always try to get the birds in flight.
