Jeff Manker believes birders can save the world. He spent 32 years as a classroom educator where he helped students discover a passion for ornithology and the world of nature. Jeff developed a year long high school ornithology course, one of the very few
available on a high school campus. In addition to serving on the K-12 Education Advisory Board, Jeff is currently the Board President of the Monterey Bay Birding Festival and also serves on the Bird School Project board. He is currently contributing to the Santa Cruz County Breeding Bird Atlas effort with the Santa Cruz Bird Club. He has worked as an Antarctic guide and birded 42 countries on six out of the seven continents!
