“We’re just so thrilled to welcome everyone to Sapsucker Woods,” said Lisa Kopp, visitor experience manager. “We want to inspire people, feed their curiosity with accessible science, and create a sense of community and belonging. Migration Celebration is the perfect opportunity to experience the magic.”
Cornell Lab staff will share insights about bird banding, native plants, conservation film-making, and so much more. Special guests will include Jane Kim leading a field sketching trail walk and a mural activity workshop, Holly Adams and Karen Stanely treating visitors to an interactive performance, and Perry Ground sharing stories from the people of the Longhouse.
“This is a great opportunity to learn more about birds and the ways we can make the long journey safer for them,” said Kopp.
