Ian Saari

I work on the Android version of the Merlin Bird ID app. It’s wonderful to be part of a project that helps spread knowledge and the joy of birds.

My love of birds started with identifying the ones at my feeder. When I shifted careers to Software Engineering, I was fortunate enough to join the Cornell Lab and combine my interests of software and birding. Now I’m working on the app that got me started, helping countless others do the same.
