(he/him/his)

Public Programs Coordinator

I work as part of the Visitor Center team to develop and deliver meaningful experiences for the birders and learners who come to the Cornell Lab. My role includes designing local educational programs, managing our group of passionate volunteers, and leading the staff at the front desk.

Prior to joining the Lab, I was an informal science educator at the Sciencenter, a children’s science museum in Ithaca. During this time, I furthered my excitement for working with science learners in informal spaces, including helping to guide researchers and volunteers to best communicate and share their experiences with families.

In past careers, I have worked as an ecologist on projects including invasive plants, heavy metals in stream insects and spiders, and plant-pollinator phenology. My second master’s degree focused on social science research when I examined the roles and impacts of narrative storytelling in science classrooms.
