Data Engineer

As a data engineer at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, I help manage and organize large amounts of bird-related data from various sources like research projects, citizen science, and environmental sensors. My role involves building data pipelines to ensure that data is collected, cleaned, and stored efficiently so that it can be used by scientists, conservationists, and bird enthusiasts. I work on improving how we store and process data to make sure it’s easy for others to access and analyze. The goal is to support important research on bird behavior, migration, and conservation, contributing to our understanding of the natural world and helping protect bird species globally.
