Tom Swartwout

Producer, Editor, Director

I help make media that is used by the Cornell Lab and conservation organizations around the world.

Before moving to Ithaca, I lived in Brooklyn for nearly twenty years where I edited feature films, documentaries, and both scripted and unscripted TV shows. In 2005, I worked on a project with the New York Times about the thawing of the Arctic. Since then, I’ve felt the need to participate more consistently in efforts that shine light on issues of climate, biodiversity, and human welfare. Working with the Conservation Media team at the Cornell Lab has given me that opportunity.
