September 19 – Building Local Connection and Global Perspectives with eBird Citizen Science

The eBird citizen-science project has billions of observations submitted by people around the world, including students. eBird’s maps, graphs, and charts provide an incredible opportunity for students to explore and interpret data. We’ll explore online tools that make it simple for students to investigate questions related to bird populations in their communities and throughout the world.

In this webinar, you will:

  • Learn how to navigate and access eBird data products like graphs and migration models
  • Practice accessing and interpreting eBird data
  • Discover ways to connect these data visualizations to the habitats, adaptations, and life cycles of birds

This hour-long webinar is designed for 6-12 grade educators, but is free and open to all.
