We are very pleased to welcome Philadelphia’s own BORBS to Sapsucker Woods for a day of fun, creativity, and music! Operating in the worlds between jazz and urban ecology, BORBS brings with them opportunities to celebrate the wonder and beauty of birds, culminating in an inspired, improvisatory performance which must be heard to be believed! Follow the registration links below to join BORBS for separate FREE programs throughout the day!
Turn waste into wonder and craft a birdy sculpture that doubles as wearable art. Using just cardboard, hot glue, acrylic paint, participants can embody the spirit of BORBS with a tiara modeled after our eponymous Yellow-Bellied Sapsucker. Materials Provided.
Kids can make their own paper bird-mask at our drop-in station. Materials Provided.
