The Cornell Lab of Ornithology offers a variety of programs and events for visitors of all ages. Please see our events calendar (below) or call 1-800-843-BIRD for more information.

Saturday and Sunday mornings from 8:30–10 a.m. During November–March, walks are from 9:30–11 a.m. Led by members of the Cayuga Bird Club, we’ll walk the trails at Sapsucker Woods looking and listening for birds. Bring your binoculars and dress for the weather!
Friday and Saturday mornings from 10 a.m.–12 p.m. outdoors by the pond. Follow signage along our entryway and boardwalk trail. Led by a volunteer docent, you’ll use binoculars, a spotting scope, and the Merlin Bird ID app to learn about the birds and other creatures seen and hear at the pond. Please check the event calendar to see if a program is happening during your visit.
Learn More Outdoors is a summer series running from June-mid-October These programs are weather dependent. We will cancel in the event of adverse conditions such as heavy rain or extreme temperatures.

The Lab has a long history of hosting interesting and engaging seminars. Speakers include Cornell Lab staff, book authors, and distinguished scientists from around the world. View our video archive of past seminars.
Join us on the second Friday of the month from 10:30–11 a.m. We’ll meet at the entrance of the Visitor Center for readings of bird-themed books from the library’s children’s collection. Ideal for kids ages 2–5 and their families. Adults should remain present with their children. Please check the event calendar to see if a Story Time is happening during your visit.
